Translating means lending your voice to someone else’s. Writing means finding your own. I also write my own books, in French and Spanish.
Writing is an old friend of mine. We have not always understood each other, it’s true. But this is what friendship is all about: getting closer, mutually giving grief, growing apart and meeting again. In fact, we never left one another; let’s just say that to rediscover each other, we needed some mediators.
